County launches new emergency notification system

Clackamas County launched this week a new public notification system, allowing county residents to receive emergency notifications on their cell phones, through Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) or via e-mails. The new system went into effect today (Wednesday). The Clackamas County Emergency Notification System (CCENS) sends emergency notifications to all landline phones in the county.
