A former Canby father and son appeared in Clackamas County court Wednesday, charged in a bizarre murder-for-hire of a neighbor’s dog.Both David James Walkoski, 61, and his son, Derek James Walkoski, 30, are charged with first-degree aggravated animal abuse, recklessly endangering another person and possession of methamphetamine.

AURORA — North Marion students now have a place to turn for reporting bullying and other negative behaviors without being identified. “Bullying is the issue that comes up the most at the middle school level, as students are trying to figure out how to solve conflicts, and they don’t always have the tools to do that productively yet,” said Laurie Cooper, principal of North Marion Middle School.
