Adcock files suit against city

Former city administrator Mark Adcock has filed a lawsuit against the city of Canby over his Aug. 26, 2009, firing. Adcock is seeking $145,381.58 in salary, benefits and penalties, plus unspecified amounts for defamation and denial of due process.

Dancing their way to State

The Canby Cougar Dancers brought home the third place trophy Saturday from the Mt. Hood and Friends dance competition at Park Rose High School. One of 12 teams competing, the Cougar Dancers won the trophy in the Show Division with "Requiem Lystopadu" routine they will perform again at state competitions.
District searching for land

Money at hand, Canby School District officials have been searching several months for a couple of residential lots to purchase in Canby.At least one lot must be purchased — soon — for the Canby High School construction cluster program, where students build a house from foundation to finish.

The 91 News Team produced its latest TV show at the OCTS Channel 5 studio last week, with three top stories and a new sports section. The team is comprised of second through sixth grade students at Ninety-One School.
Operation Love Boxes

American troops in the Middle East received 56 boxes filled with “goodies” and letters Monday from the students at Trost Elementary School.The entire Trost student body, kindergarten through fifth grade, collected the goodies during the school’s Operation Love Boxes campaign in January.

Canby's Connection Central will host a concert Saturday at 7 p.m. featuring Truth Be Told, a Christian band that is part of the PDX Christian Musician's Co-Op which showcases Portland-area Christian bands across all spectrums of Christian music, from rap to rock.
