The city building was one of many building projects 75 years ago, as Canby fought its way out of the Depression

The years 1936 and 1937 were banner years for new building projects in the Canby area. That time period heralded the construction of the city’s new water system on the Molalla River, water mains, power lines and more than a mile of sidewalks, thanks to Works Progress Administration funding.
