Dane Jones has emerged as one of Canby's top runners in his first year out

Canby High School junior Dane Jones was the Cougars' No. 1 runner at the opening meet on Sept. 9 at the Canby Invitational at Molalla RIver State Park.
Just five months ago, Dane Jones struggled to find his niche as an athlete. The Canby High School junior had the talent and running ability, but the search for his best event during the track and field season remained ongoing.
