Former missionaries to speak at Connection Central

Missionaries Darrell and Sherri Beebe and their family had been living in Palau only nine weeks when three local men broke into their home.

The family was violently kidnapped, beaten, brutalized and abused by the men.  During the attack, Darrell Beebe suffered severe head and brain injuries and was airlifted out of the country for emergency surgery. The family was eventually reunited in Hawaii and their injuries healed.
Since then, the Beebes have learned the meaning of forgiveness and recently returned to Palau to extend personal forgiveness to one of their attackers.

The former Assemblies of God missionaries now travel America, teaching on the subject of forgiveness.
"These missionaries were nGot a News Tip?ear martyrs," said Loren Hamar of Canby's Connection Central. "They came as close to martyrdom as anyone I've known."

The Beebes will speak at Connection Central at 10 a.m. Sunday. Connection Central is at 190 NW Second Ave.
