Canby High School junior Samantha Smith won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 16.16 seconds during Thursday’s 126-43 victory over Tigard at the Canby Swim Center, helping the Cougars win the league dual meet championship for the first time.
The smiles radiated and beamed from every member of the Canby girls swim team.And rightfully so.The Cougars capped the most successful league dual season in school history, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record after dismantling Tigard, 126-43, on Thursday at the Canby Swim Center.
