Jeff Goodman

Jeff Goodman is the sports editor at the Canby Herald and Wilsonville Spokesman, a position that allows him to foster his loves of reporting, writing, editing, photography and, of course, sports.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jeff attended the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated in 2010 with a degree in political science. Much of his time in college was spent at The Daily Californian, the school's independent student newspaper, where he worked in the sports department as a beat reporter, columnist and editor.

Before moving to Oregon in 2011, Jeff also gained experience in journalism as an intern at The Palisadian-Post, a weekly newspaper in Los Angeles County, and as a general assignment news and sports reporter at The Bakersfield Californian, a daily publication in California's Central Valley.

He recently served as sports editor at the Molalla Pioneer, covering nine Class 4A state championships between October 2011 and July 2012.

When he's not covering local athletics, Jeff is likely playing basketball, doing crossword puzzles or searching for the planet's best hamburgers.
