The North Marion School District was recently audited, with the district being found in compliance in most areas.One area that was found to be slightly out of compliance was in reviewing how the district verified student eligibility for free and reduced meals.

The Canby Education Foundation and Canby School District will host a career fair at Baker Prairie Middle School for all eight-graders on Wednesday. The career fair will feature about 15 professionals from Canby and the surrounding who will be on hand to teach students about their careers.

A pair of Ninety-One School teams put their best Lego-loving feet forward at a recent Lego robotics tournament.The team of fifth- and sixth-grade students, nicknamed SKREAM, an acryonym for members’ first names, won the Rising Star award a the tournament.

North Marion School District has decided to run buses one hour late on Wednesdays starting Jan. 2. The decision came after a parent survey showed 80 percent of parents were willing to accommodate that move and almost all attendees of a community forum voted in favor of it.
