Mr. Cougar

Performing to a packed school audience, Zane Moore was chosen as Canby High School's "Mr. Cougar" recently. Several students competed for the honor, and the young men participating worked three weeks to rehearse, learn a group dance, prepared speeches, and a talent segment for the Mr.

The Canby High School engineering and design class toured Johnson Controls in Canby on last Wednesday. Johnson Controls is a global leader and the world's largest manufacturer of lead-acid automotive batteries.

It could be called an extravaganza — a concert featuring 16 musical performances from jazz band to orchestra, concert choir to rock.Coming Thursday, April 1, it’s “A Night of Change,” a benefit concert for West Africa presented by the Canby High School O-Ambassadors.
